Arrow Rock is committed to promoting and providing a mature environment for Lindenwood University students to publish quality fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, plays, and artwork while showcasing the integrity and the individual talents of each writer or artist.

The staff and contributors of Arrow Rock strive to produce a literary journal that interests and inspires.


AJ Costa

AJ is currently a senior at Lindenwood University, majoring in English with an Emphasis in Creative Writing. Fiction is his favorite genre, with a love for fantasy, sci-fi and horror. He also enjoys writing poetry about his stories, or about his life. He is currently working on getting his work published, and is steadily writing during his free time. When he’s not writing, he can be found playing video games, listening to music, hanging out with his friends, or spending time with his family. He is working towards becoming an editor post-graduation and is excited to continue his education!


Alaina Floersch

Alaina is currently a junior at Lindenwood University, studying Criminology with a minor in creative writing. She enjoys filling her time with a plethora of things such as writing, crocheting, and watching all different kinds of movies. When it comes to her, there is no shortage of trying new hobbies and searching for more things to be passionate about. Her favorite genres of writing consist of fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery. She aspires to one day fulfill her dreams of becoming a published author and make her family proud. Each day, she hopes to continue growing her love for writing and reading all sorts of stories.


Ashley Haberberger

Ashley Haberberger is a senior at Lindenwood University, where she plans to graduate with a double major in English and Game Design this May. She loves all forms of writing, but she’s most passionate about poetry, fantasy, and science fiction. When she’s not working on the Arrow Rock Literary Journal, you can find her working on personal writing projects, reading, playing video games, or playing tabletop roleplaying games with her friends. If she’s not doing any of those, then she’s probably crying over cat videos she found on the internet. You can find some of her work at Gaslamp Pulp and Cacti Fur.


Brianna Hebert

Brianna Hebert is a current senior at Lindenwood University majoring in English with an emphasis on creative writing. She hopes to write multiple novels someday and has written many short stories in their free time. They enjoy reading stories that are character focused but they don’t mind a good plot heavy fantasy novel here and there. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, and when she’s not doing either, she’s probably obsessing over a TV show and hanging out with her dog. They have been published once in Pima Community College’s 2023 edition of Sandscript and is currently working on getting more work out there! 


Ian Rashleigh

Ian is currently a freshman at Lindenwood University, with an undecided major. Despite not knowing what path he wants to tread, his enthsusiam for writing can’t be denied. He currently just writes and sometimes doodles for fun as a way to decompress and explore his interests, with his favorites genres to write in being fantasy and action/adventure. In his free time, he can be found either writing, watching Youtube, or playing video games. 


Jennie Weible

Jennie Weible is a junior at Lindenwood University, majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She hopes to pursue a career in publishing and editing after graduating with her Bachelors degree. Jennie enjoys writing short stories packed with imagery and whimsy, and has been published in Jefferson College’s Controlled Chaos and Phil Theta Kappa’s Nota Bene. She can be found in her free time planning an overly detailed itinerary for her next trip or binging a new TV show. 


Joshua Hammond

Joshua has been reading and writing since he was about two years old. He loves to read books, comics, manga, poetry, interviews, articles, and labels on chip bags. He also loves listening to podcasts, music, and audiobooks. Josh is passionate about art and hopes the human aspects aren’t lost as artificial intelligence develops. He has way too many hobbies, including writing, making music, and drawing. In 2024, he graduated from Saint Charles Community College with an Associate’s degree of English with highest honors. He’s currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Spanish at Lindenwood University.

Joshua has been published at Sufferer’s DigestSerotonin PressFlare MagazineOrange Rose Magazine, and the Crystal Edition of Arrow Rock. He also has photography published at Orange Rose Magazinemusic posted at Arrow Rock, and an album under the name Sliced Hambone.


Kate Tucker

Kate Tucker is a Sophomore at Lindenwood University. She is majoring in English, with a minor in Writing and Professional Communication, with the goal of working in book publishing one day. When Kate is able to take time away from her schoolwork, she like to read, spend time with her family and friends, watch TV, and get a sweet treat. While working on the Arrow Rock Literary Journal, Kate plans to soak up every last bit of information she can so that she can translate it into her future and continue to grow as an editor while she still can.


Kay Copeland

Kay Copeland is a junior at Lindenwood studying communications with an emphasis in journalism. Although her experience is mostly journalistic writing and editing, she enjoys authoring prose pieces and one day hopes to further indulge her creative writing abilities. Kay is a member of the 2023 All-State Journalism team as recognized by the Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association (MIJA). She enjoys covering political news, opinion pieces and features. Ultimately, she aspires to work in editing for print and/or online publications. 

Her hobbies include cooking & baking, cuddling her two cats and spending time with loved ones. In most cases, she detests the Oxford comma.

Lexi Wallis

Lexi Wallis is currently a Junior at Lindenwood University, majoring in English with an emphasis in creative writing. She aims to work in publishing and hopes to live by the beach one day so she can read and write in the sunlight. In her free time, she can be found at various concerts or traveling around Europe with her friends. You can find some of her work in Jefferson College’s Controlled Chaos


Mariia Steblina

Mariia Steblina is a third-year English, Literature major at Lindenwood University. Her academic work centers on narrative form and textual interpretation, with emphasis on Modernist and nineteenth-century fiction. She focuses on close reading and analytical writing, examining how structure and language shape meaning across genres.

Alongside her studies, Mariia creates editorial layouts and literary posters, prioritizing typographic structure and composition. In her editorial work, she maintains structural coherence and clarity while handling fiction and nonfiction submissions. She approaches editing as a collaborative process, preserving authorial voice while reinforcing organization and precision.


Marvin Mezera

Marvin is a senior at Lindenwood university and is pursuing an English degree with a focus on creative writing. He’s a writer and comic illustrator who self publishes his work online. He focuses on larger projects, like novels or graphic novels, but enjoys writing shorter stories on the side. Outside of illustrating and writing, Marvin enjoys listening and playing music (primarily cello). After university, he plans on pursuing their MFA and focusing on a career in world domination, running a cult, or becoming a published writer; whichever happens first.


Sara Minnella

Sara Minnella is currently a Junior at Lindenwood University majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing in hopes of becoming a technical writer for retail websites. Ever since high school, she’s enjoyed topics of writing and grammar. When she’s not writing, she’s dancing. Other hobbies include painting, photography, and playing volleyball.


Sydni Williams

Sydni Williams is currently a Sophomore at Lindenwood University, majoring in English. In Sydni’s spare time, she can be found reading, at the movie theaters watching the latest film, around her friends and family, or attending school and work. Sydni also enjoys writing small creative writing pieces as a fun little personal outlet whenever she finds the time but has not published or submitted anything. While attending Lindenwood, she aims to grow and learn as a creative person and to branch out and learn more about different writing techniques, genres, editing, and marketing while being a part of arrow Rock Literary Journal.


Sydney Parker-Coyne

Sydney Parker, writing under the penname of Parker Coyne, is a senior at Lindenwood University majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. Sydney hopes to one day publish frequently, teach college-level English and writing courses, and pursue other interests in the future. They will return to Lindenwood after graduation to begin their MFA in English. They’ve only been published in two literary magazines (that they’re aware of): Arrow Rock Literary Journal and The Orange Rose Literary Journal.
