Zane Bell is a sophomore majoring in Historical Studies and English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing. Growing up on the undefined border between rural and suburban Missouri, he spent his youth on a wide variety of experiences that included long night marches through marshlands as well as extensive searches for pop culture memorabilia. Memories of these events inspire him to read more about the historical world around him and to write speculative fiction about what that same world might look like in the future. Aside from his love of history and desire to create worlds, Zane looks to further his academic and professional career by pursuing at least one graduate degree — likely in international relations.

Andre Tompkins has been writing since they were a kid. Their first story that they wrote was in second grade, called “How the Peacock Got His Eyes” (even though they are terrified of peacocks!) Since then, their passion for writing has grown. Even though they’ve written several pieces of fiction and dabbled in a little bit of poetry, they’ve never been published before. They hope that one day, they will publish their first novel or even more amazing, publish and produce their first musical! They are a complete musical junkie – Rent and Wicked are their favorite musicals! They are a junior at Lindenwood University and will be a senior this Fall! They are currently earning their bachelor’s in Social Work, and is minoring in Gender Studies, Psychology, and Creative Writing!
